3D Design & Art Direction

This was a fun one. Partnering with the masterful team at ManvsMachine, we reimagined Oura’s CGI artwork and pushed the boundaries of what’s possible in 3D design. Our goal was to convey a visual dichotomy of Oura’s innate balance between trustworthiness in its tech and awareness of the intimate connection between body and mind. Natural textures inspired by our founding country’s (Finland) landscape were embraced to celebrate the origin story of the rings’ material. In our terms, Oura Ring acts as a solid, reliable support to measure your progress in health. Like nature, it does not boast or distract. There are no notifications, bright, distracting screens, or vibrations. Using ‘bedrock’ as the literal foundation for approaching our art direction, we embrace textures, forms, and colors derived from the natural environment. All the while, we maintain a sense of premiumness in our executions. By confronting opposite concepts, matte and shiny, simple and intricate, man-made and natural, we create interesting and unexpected compositions.
